The gates will be unlocked so you will be able to park at the far end of the sailing lake; alternatively there is a public car park just before the Watersports building from where you can walk to Bray Pit. | Shepherd Meadows and Sandhurst Memorial Park are neighbouring sites in the south of Sandhurst on the River Blackwater. Shepherd Meadows consists of 40 hectares (100 acres) of wet meadows and woodlands that is important for its nature conservation.

| Raking the meadow.
Bray Pit used to be managed by BBOWT. Although this is no longer officially the case BBOWT have still cut the meadow and we will rake off the mowings. This is to reduce the nutrients in the soil and encourage the masses of wild flowers which grow in the summer. Bray Pit is sandwiched between Bray Sailing Lake and the M4.
